About Hofstra Jachtbouw

The small family business Hofstra Jachtbouw is the driving force behind the Proliner yachts. The company has a rich history and has been building luxurious motor yachts since 1934.

For us, anticipating new developments is key; the reason our yachts are designed by Vripack Naval Architects. In 2007 we relocated to our new premises at Ceresweg 42 in Leeuwarden, which gives us direct access to the water.

Your dream yacht will be built by a small team of exclusive specialists. All are experts in their chosen field. Perfection is the goal with every boat we construct.

We only work with premier quality products and materials. Due in part to our low overhead costs, we are able to keep our prices competitive.

The construction of every Proliner is specialist traditional work, which we feel is the only way to offer you the custom finishing you desire. No boat is standard. With our flexible approach we are able to realise many of your wishes.

Throughout the construction period we will always be pleased to see you at our boatyard. You can fully enjoy the development of your Proliner as it takes shape. We look forward to explaining everything you would like to know about the production process and welcome the opportunity to demonstrate our expert methods.

Vripack Proliners

The Proliner design has been developed by Vripack Naval Architects, one of the world’s leading naval architectural practices.

Vripack was set up in 1961 by naval architect Dick Boon. These days it is an internationally recognised design practice, employing more than seventy people.

Vripack is fully involved from the start to finish in the designing of all (super) yachts up to ninety meters in length. The practice is based in their modern premises in Sneek and has recently opened a new office in New York.

Vripack strongly believs that Quality is the sum of Workmanship and Enthusiasm.

The Proliner builders certainly go along with that!
